I Athena, goddess of wisdom and inspiration, have been watching and guiding Odysseus of Ithica while on his journey from Troy back to his home. I was with him every step of the way. I watched him while he was giving his men their orders, the wisdom he gave them made me very proud. I have always liked Odysseus very much his strategies are impressive, although he often makes some poor decisions. When he and his men were escaping from the Cyclops’ island and he yelled back to gloat about his victory, this made me cringe with disgust. To be humble is sometimes the greatest form of wisdom a man can have. But Odysseus has proven himself time and time again. That is why when he finally arrived home I came to his aid and made him into a beggar, a very good idea if you ask me. It filled me with excitement to see Odysseus and Penelope reunited.
